The Bamboo Brace Early Grade School (M) Single Bamboo Brace

DESCRIPTION

The Bamboo Brace is a dynamic elbow splint for children and adults with disabilities such as high muscle tone (Cerebral Palsy), low muscle tone (Down Syndrome/other genetic conditions), and behavioural diagnoses (Autism and Rett Syndrome) that assists them by actively re-aligning the elbow at more favourable angles in order to learn gross and fine motor skills. The Bamboo Brace is sold with 5 flexible and interchangeable support stays of varying resistance.

The Early Grade School brace (M) fits children as young as 3 years and as old as about 8-9 years.

The medium brace measures 7.25” long x 10.25” in girth (wrap-around) x 3mm thick

Recommendations:

The child should have 1-2" of space above the elbow before the underarm and below the elbow before the wrist. To ensure a secure fit and performance, we recommend 3/4" as the minimum amount of overlap on the wrap-around portion.

Notes:

The Early Grade school (M) brace is a good option for many 3-4 year-olds through 8-9 year olds. There are some larger 3-year-olds especially those with a significant amount of spasticity at the elbow, (such as spastic quadriplegia/spastic diplegia cerebral palsy) who will also do well with this size as long as they have at least 1-2” of space beyond the brace above and below the elbow. The Early Grade school (M) size is also a favourite for younger girls with Rett syndrome, as well as children with autism and other genetic diagnoses where it helps deter mouthing, hand wringing and facial interaction.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

• Orders of £30 or more qualify for free delivery. For orders under £30, a £3.95 delivery charge will apply.
• We only accept orders with a UK delivery address.
• The product price you see on our website includes VAT.
• All deliveries are by courier service and should arrive within 3 – 5 working days.  Leave safe and delivery to a neighbour have been disabled on our DPD account due to security reasons.
• DPD will deliver but will not ask for a signature, they usually take a photo of the parcel in the open doorway of the delivery address.  If you are not at home you can chose what happens to your parcel via the "in flight" options via the DPD app or tracking page.

RETURNS & REFUND INFORMATION

• You can return any product up to 14 days following receipt of the item. (please note that the return must be returned to us within 14 days from delivery).
• The product must be unused, in its original packaging and in a saleable condition.
• You will be responsible for the shipping cost of returning the product.
• We will only refund the shipping cost, should we have picked the wrong product in error, or it is proven to be faulty.
• Before returning an item, please contact us by email orders@brace-yourself.co.uk or by phone 0800 3688964.  We will give you a returns number, together with details on how and where to return your item.  Please note, we cannot process a return without an authorised returns number.
• Returns will be processed and refunded within 15 working days from receipt of the item into our returns department and on the basis that it complies fully with our terms and conditions.
• Refunds will be paid to your purchasing card.
• If you are looking to exchange an item based on a sizing issue, please make the customer service team aware when you contact them for a returns number.
• When returning a product, please be aware that this is at your risk until received by us.  We therefore strongly recommend you return the item using a tracked service with insurance cover, in case of damage or loss.
• We reserve the right to refuse a returned item if we deem it to be in an unsuitable condition. 
• Hygiene notice:
  For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of pillows that have been opened or used, unless they are faulty.
