• In the case of constant lower-leg dimensions, the comfort sizes have a thigh circumference that is extended by three centimeters.

DESCRIPTION

The GenuTrain relieves knee pain, provides support for mild instability, and balances loads more dynamically. The support relieves pain, stimulates blood flow, and activates the body’s stabilizing mechanisms by applying medical compression to tissue and providing a compression massage.

The GenuTrain’s anatomically contoured high-low knitted fabric has a highly textured surface for stimulation of the knee’s proprioceptors and improving control of the joint’s stabilizing muscles. Its two-part Omega+ Pad encases and protects the kneecap.

The pad enhances the support’s pain-relieving and sensorimotoric effect by stimulating the Hoffa’s fat pad and base of the meniscus more intensively via the Hoffa spots, two friction points and meniscus wings. Firmer massage nubs in the material provide additional targeted stimulation during movement.

The GenuTrain Comfort fits comfortably and securely thanks to plastic stays with bending zones and a soft, breathable knit in the hollow of the knee. Integrated donning and doffing aids make taking on and off easier. 

STRONG EFFECT ON KNEE HEALTH

After acute injury or surgery, in the event of chronic changes, arthrosis or instability in the knee: the GenuTrain with its alternating pressure massage relieves pain and promotes movement. Step by step, you can regain your natural movements.

A ring-shaped functional pad, the Omega + Pad, holds the kneecap securely in place and reduces edema and swelling. Integrated massage points with their specially movable knobs work specifically on particularly painful areas. On the side, two flexible plastic rods ensure that the GenuTrain always sits perfectly. Integrated handles above and below make it easy to put the bandage on and take it off.

FIT AGAIN FASTER

Your body needs to learn as quickly as possible to avoid painful movements on its own. The knitted train train always sets new movement stimuli to activate the muscles, stabilize the joint and relieve the pain.

Two massage points, the so-called meniscus wings, have a pain-relieving effect on the side of the knee in the area of the joint gap and menisci. Two other massage points, the Hoffa Spots, stimulate Hoffa's fat body with dosed pressure. This has an important metabolic function and promotes the self-healing process in the knee.

The GenuTrain enables the early admission of physiotherapy and careful training. This way your knee can recover during active movement. The basic principle is: exercise is healthy!

THE PERFECT COMBINATION OF SHAPE AND FUNCTION

The material and shape of the GenuTrain active supports have an ingenious functional design for optimal effect and a high level of wearing comfort. The breathable, skin-friendly knit adapts to your every movement, without irritation or slipping. The material is far softer and more elastic in the sensitive flexion area of the hollow of the knee, and at the edges of the support. Spiral stays at the sides make sure that the support does not lose its shape during movement, while integrated donning aids make the supports easy to put on with little effort.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENUTRAIN (STANDARD AND COMFORT), GENUTRAIN P3, GENUTRAIN A3 AND GENUTRAIN S?

GenuTrain® - Standard and Comfort is designed for weak, swollen or painful knees. This brace support is best for nagging pain such as tendinitis/jumper’s knee.

GenuTrain P3® relieves pain caused by misalignment of the kneecap (patellar femoral syndrome) or tracking issues.

GenuTrain A3® is designed for degenerative knee pain such as osteoarthritis, middle knee injuries or pain on the inner side of the knee.

GenuTrain S® is best if you suffer from more advance osteoarthritis of the knee, rheumatoid arthritis, bone-on-bone arthritis or MCL/LCL ligament injuries.

PRODUCT CARE

Washing regularly helps our supports maintain their shape and last longer. All Bauerfeind supports are made with machine washable materials.

HERE’S HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BRACE:

For products with Velcro® straps, pads or inserts, remove them if possible, or fasten them securely at the place provided on the brace. Machine wash your brace in cold water using the gentle or delicate cycle. Wash separately using a laundry detergent with no additives (do not use fabric softener or Woolite). Lay your support flat and let it air-dry; do not put it in the dryer. Proper washing and drying helps your knit support maintain its elasticity and original fit.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

• Orders of £30 or more qualify for free delivery. For orders under £30, a £3.95 delivery charge will apply.
• We only accept orders with a UK delivery address.
• The product price you see on our website includes VAT.
• All deliveries are by courier service and should arrive within 3 – 5 working days.  Leave safe and delivery to a neighbour have been disabled on our DPD account due to security reasons.
• DPD will deliver but will not ask for a signature, they usually take a photo of the parcel in the open doorway of the delivery address.  If you are not at home you can chose what happens to your parcel via the "in flight" options via the DPD app or tracking page.

RETURNS & REFUND INFORMATION

• You can return any product up to 14 days following receipt of the item. (please note that the return must be returned to us within 14 days from delivery).
• The product must be unused, in its original packaging and in a saleable condition.
• You will be responsible for the shipping cost of returning the product.
• We will only refund the shipping cost, should we have picked the wrong product in error, or it is proven to be faulty.
• Before returning an item, please contact us by email orders@brace-yourself.co.uk or by phone 0800 3688964.  We will give you a returns number, together with details on how and where to return your item.  Please note, we cannot process a return without an authorised returns number.
• Returns will be processed and refunded within 15 working days from receipt of the item into our returns department and on the basis that it complies fully with our terms and conditions.
• Refunds will be paid to your purchasing card.
• If you are looking to exchange an item based on a sizing issue, please make the customer service team aware when you contact them for a returns number.
• When returning a product, please be aware that this is at your risk until received by us.  We therefore strongly recommend you return the item using a tracked service with insurance cover, in case of damage or loss.
• We reserve the right to refuse a returned item if we deem it to be in an unsuitable condition. 
• Hygiene notice:
  For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of pillows that have been opened or used, unless they are faulty.
