DESCRIPTION
With its muscle-activating compression knit and special silicone dots on the friction zones of the pad, GenuTrain A3 is indicated for the treatment of complex knee complaints, including gonarthrosis. The support offers increased stimulation of receptors and nerve endings at the muscle-tendon transition in typical complaint areas of the knee with every movement. The joint-stabilizing muscles are activated, specifically the teardrop muscle (vastus medialis). The sensorimotor system is positively influenced. A strap integrated into the pad additionally prevents lateral drifting of the patella. The intermittent compression created by the knit and pad has a beneficial massage effect on the tissue with every movement. It promotes the absorption of edema and effusions, speeds up the healing process, and reduces discomfort in the medial capsule-ligament area. The knit of the GenuTrain A3 is anatomically contoured and sits perfectly without slipping. Breathable materials, very elastic edges, and an extra soft area at the back of the knee ensure additional wearing comfort. An expansion zone around the calf area makes the support easy to put on and take off.
STABILIZES AND STIMULATES
GenuTrain A3 ("anti arthros algos" = "against joint pain") uses intermittent compression massage to treat the typical pain points in the knee. The three-dimensional Train active knit helps the muscular stabilization of the knee joint. The integrated visco-elastic pad prevents the kneecap from slipping, combats pain and massages the surrounding tissue. Edemas and effusions can be relieved more quickly.
EFFECTIVE AND COMFORTABLE
The construction of the GenuTrain A3 and the material used guarantee that the support is both medically effective and a comfortable fit: with a softer knit in the hollow of the knee, pressure-reduced edges, breathable materials and an elastic shape adapted to suit the body shape. Two spiral stays located on the sides retain the shape of the support. The skin underneath thus remains pleasantly dry, and nothing is constricted.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENUTRAIN, GENUTRAIN P3, GENUTRAIN A3 AND GENUTRAIN S?
Each brace is designed specifically for a different type of injury or pain. You can find comprehensive information on the Product Details page. Here’s an overview:
GenuTrain® is designed for weak, swollen or painful knees. This brace support is best for nagging pain such as tendinitis/jumper’s knee.
GenuTrain P3® relieves pain caused by misalignment of the kneecap (patellar femoral syndrome) or tracking issues.
GenuTrain A3® is designed for degenerative knee pain such as osteoarthritis, middle knee injuries or pain on the inner side of the knee.
GenuTrain S® is best if you suffer from more advance osteoarthritis of the knee, rheumatoid arthritis, bone-on-bone arthritis or MCL/LCL ligament injuries.
PRODUCT CARE
Washing regularly helps our supports maintain their shape and last longer. All Bauerfeind supports are made with machine washable materials.
HERE’S HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BRACE:
For products with Velcro® straps, pads or inserts, remove them if possible, or fasten them securely at the place provided on the brace. Machine wash your brace in cold water using the gentle or delicate cycle. Wash separately using a laundry detergent with no additives (do not use fabric softener or Woolite). Lay your support flat and let it air-dry; do not put it in the dryer. Proper washing and drying helps your knit support maintain its elasticity and original fit.
