DESCRIPTION

MalleoTrain S open heel reliably supports the ankle and improves ground contact during exercise. The open heel area enhances the feeling of contact with the ground especially for barefoot athletes like dancers, martial artists, or gymnasts. Other athletes with tight-fitting footwear, like basketball players, will also appreciate this pad-free thin layer support. The individually adjustable strap system acts like a functional tape bandage but is a lot more skin-friendly. The strap is wound around the ankle in a figure eight and attached using a Velcro® fastening. The ankle is stabilised to prevent lateral twisting, without affecting normal movement. The intermittent compression of the knitted fabric creates a massage effect around the soft tissue during movement. This action stimulates circulation in the area and improves the metabolism. Pain is relieved. The support simultaneously stimulates the stabilising muscles, improving overall sensorimotor function. The ankle is strengthened long-term, preventing sprain injuries. The anatomical fit of MalleoTrain S open heel and its particularly elastic support edges ensure a non-slip hold and high wearing comfort.

The support's breathable Train Active Knit is anatomically contoured and fits the foot perfectly. The compression effect of the knit aids the circulation and activates the surrounding musculature. The support thus stabilizes the foot without restricting mobility and is ideal for use during sporting activities. It fits into any trainer and helps to prevent further injury to the ankle during training or competition.

Thanks to the uncovered heel area of the MalleoTrain® S open heel, gymnasts, dancers and martial artists have an improved feeling of contact with the ground.

DYNAMIC STABILIZATION

Thanks to its individually adjustable strap system, the MalleoTrain S open heel acts like a functional tape bandage. The strap is fastened around the foot in a figure-of-eight pattern, thus securing the connection of the mid- and hindfoot with the lower leg. Unlike the tape bandage, the strap is applied under tension and its protection can thus be individually adjusted. You can feel it guiding your foot and this protects against lateral twisting, positively influences your perception of your own movement and gives you back the feeling of security during load bearing.

PRODUCT CARE

Washing regularly helps our supports maintain their shape and last longer. All Bauerfeind supports are made with machine washable materials.

HERE’S HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BRACE:

For products with Velcro® straps, pads or inserts, remove them if possible, or fasten them securely at the place provided on the brace. Machine wash your brace in cold water using the gentle or delicate cycle. Wash separately using a laundry detergent with no additives (do not use fabric softener or Woolite). Lay your support flat and let it air-dry; do not put it in the dryer.

Proper washing and drying helps your knit support maintain its elasticity and original fit.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

• Orders of £30 or more qualify for free delivery. For orders under £30, a £3.95 delivery charge will apply.
• We only accept orders with a UK delivery address.
• The product price you see on our website includes VAT.
• All deliveries are by courier service and should arrive within 3 – 5 working days.  Leave safe and delivery to a neighbour have been disabled on our DPD account due to security reasons.
• DPD will deliver but will not ask for a signature, they usually take a photo of the parcel in the open doorway of the delivery address.  If you are not at home you can chose what happens to your parcel via the "in flight" options via the DPD app or tracking page.

RETURNS & REFUND INFORMATION

• You can return any product up to 14 days following receipt of the item. (please note that the return must be returned to us within 14 days from delivery).
• The product must be unused, in its original packaging and in a saleable condition.
• You will be responsible for the shipping cost of returning the product.
• We will only refund the shipping cost, should we have picked the wrong product in error, or it is proven to be faulty.
• Before returning an item, please contact us by email orders@brace-yourself.co.uk or by phone 0800 3688964.  We will give you a returns number, together with details on how and where to return your item.  Please note, we cannot process a return without an authorised returns number.
• Returns will be processed and refunded within 15 working days from receipt of the item into our returns department and on the basis that it complies fully with our terms and conditions.
• Refunds will be paid to your purchasing card.
• If you are looking to exchange an item based on a sizing issue, please make the customer service team aware when you contact them for a returns number.
• When returning a product, please be aware that this is at your risk until received by us.  We therefore strongly recommend you return the item using a tracked service with insurance cover, in case of damage or loss.
• We reserve the right to refuse a returned item if we deem it to be in an unsuitable condition. 
• Hygiene notice:
  For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of pillows that have been opened or used, unless they are faulty.
