DESCRIPTION

MalleoTrain Plus stabilizes weak ankles and prevents (renewed) outward twisting. The support comes equipped with an individually adjustable strap system with elastic and non-elastic components. The strap is wound around the ankle in a figure eight, stabilizing the joint mechanically in a slight pronation. Pulled tightly, the support acts like a functional tape bandage. Two anatomically shaped, viscoelastic pads sit behind the lateral and medial malleolus, and are covered by the strap, offering added stability. The knitted fabric of the support and the pads create an intermittent compression of the soft tissue during movement. The resulting massage effect relieves pain and promotes circulation around the joint capsule and tendon insertion. Edemas, effusions and hematomas are removed much faster. The joint stabilizing muscles are activated at the same time, and the overall sensorimotor function is positively influenced. The anatomical fit of MalleoTrain Plus and its particularly elastic support edges ensure a non-slip hold and high wearing comfort. A small, supplied donning aid makes the support easy to put on.

GREATER STABILITY

MalleoTrain Plus unifies the proven modes of action of Bauerfeind active supports and those of sport tapings, thereby offering greater stability and security. It first stabilizes the ankle by the compressive effect of the knit and the two elastic profile inserts that are precisely aligned on the outer and inner ankle. The intermittent compression massage triggered by movement then also actives the musculature. This multiple stabilizing effect is reinforced by the semi-elastic strap system because it, like the tape bandage, is wound around the foot in a figure-of-eight. Secured in this manner, even twisting outward is actively countered.

EFFECTIVE REPLACEMENT FOR TAPE

For optimal securing, the strap system of the MalleoTrain Plus consists of elastic, semi-elastic and non-elastic parts. Unlike the tape bandage, the strap is applied independently under tension and its protection can be individually adjusted. The positive effect upon the sensorimotor system is thereby reinforced.

PRODUCT CARE

Washing regularly helps our supports maintain their shape and last longer. All Bauerfeind supports are made with machine washable materials.

HERE’S HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BRACE:

For products with Velcro® straps, pads or inserts, remove them if possible, or fasten them securely at the place provided on the brace. Machine wash your brace in cold water using the gentle or delicate cycle. Wash separately using a laundry detergent with no additives (do not use fabric softener or Woolite). Lay your support flat and let it air-dry; do not put it in the dryer.

Proper washing and drying helps your knit support maintain its elasticity and original fit.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

• Orders of £30 or more qualify for free delivery. For orders under £30, a £3.95 delivery charge will apply.
• We only accept orders with a UK delivery address.
• The product price you see on our website includes VAT.
• All deliveries are by courier service and should arrive within 3 – 5 working days.  Leave safe and delivery to a neighbour have been disabled on our DPD account due to security reasons.
• DPD will deliver but will not ask for a signature, they usually take a photo of the parcel in the open doorway of the delivery address.  If you are not at home you can chose what happens to your parcel via the "in flight" options via the DPD app or tracking page.

RETURNS & REFUND INFORMATION

• You can return any product up to 14 days following receipt of the item. (please note that the return must be returned to us within 14 days from delivery).
• The product must be unused, in its original packaging and in a saleable condition.
• You will be responsible for the shipping cost of returning the product.
• We will only refund the shipping cost, should we have picked the wrong product in error, or it is proven to be faulty.
• Before returning an item, please contact us by email orders@brace-yourself.co.uk or by phone 0800 3688964.  We will give you a returns number, together with details on how and where to return your item.  Please note, we cannot process a return without an authorised returns number.
• Returns will be processed and refunded within 15 working days from receipt of the item into our returns department and on the basis that it complies fully with our terms and conditions.
• Refunds will be paid to your purchasing card.
• If you are looking to exchange an item based on a sizing issue, please make the customer service team aware when you contact them for a returns number.
• When returning a product, please be aware that this is at your risk until received by us.  We therefore strongly recommend you return the item using a tracked service with insurance cover, in case of damage or loss.
• We reserve the right to refuse a returned item if we deem it to be in an unsuitable condition. 
• Hygiene notice:
  For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of pillows that have been opened or used, unless they are faulty.
