DESCRIPTION

The LumboLoc Forte lumbar orthosis provides greater relief to the lumbar spine and helps to reduce pain in that area. Its strong, firm knitted fabric with built-in dorsal corset stays stabilizes the torso and gently straightens the back. The abdominal compression supports this effect and can be adjusted using a Velcro® fastening. The relieving effect of the orthosis is increased through the height adjustable side straps and a large back pad. The lumbar spine is further straightened through the tensile force of the straps.

This product can be purchased in conjunction with either the lumbar pad or a sacral pad which can be optionally used to support the posture correction and also provide additional stability (included with the brace).  Simply choose your size and/or the optional extra pad of your choice. The circular compression exerted by the knitted fabric of the orthosis is particularly intense in combination with muscle tension. The muscle activating massage effect is therefore stronger during movement, when the intermittent compression stimulates the stabilizing abdominal and back muscles, and improves muscle control through sensorimotor feedback processes. The knit of the LumboLoc Forte is comfortably breathable and moisture-regulating. Practical hand straps on the abdominal fastening and the Low-Power-Tension strap system make it quick and easy to put on the orthosis.

YOUR PERSONAL BACK MASSEUR

LumboLoc Forte incorporates anatomically contoured corset stays made of aluminum which provide effective support for the painful area of the lumbar spine. The corset stays can be individually shaped for a perfect fit. An adjustable function belt at the front exerts a variable degree of compression on the abdomen and thus relieves the lumbar spine. Adjusting this belt also increases or reduces the massage effect of the pad at the back of the stabilizing orthosis. Depending upon which pad is used, either the lumbar region or sacrum is massaged, allowing tension to be released and pain to abate.

SAFETY AND COMFORT

Thanks to its anatomical fit, LumboLoc Forte always sits comfortably; the elastic, breathable material fits the body perfectly. Practical finger pockets and the LPT (Low Power Tension) tensioning strap system make it easy to handle, so that LumboLoc can be fitted correctly and adjusted without any difficulty.

PRODUCT CARE

Washing regularly helps our supports maintain their shape and last longer. All Bauerfeind supports are made with machine washable materials.

HERE’S HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BRACE:

For products with Velcro® straps, pads or inserts, remove them if possible, or fasten them securely at the place provided on the brace. Machine wash your brace in cold water using the gentle or delicate cycle. Wash separately using a laundry detergent with no additives (do not use fabric softener or Woolite). Lay your support flat and let it air-dry; do not put it in the dryer.

Proper washing and drying helps your knit support maintain its elasticity and original fit.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

• Orders of £30 or more qualify for free delivery. For orders under £30, a £3.95 delivery charge will apply.
• We only accept orders with a UK delivery address.
• The product price you see on our website includes VAT.
• All deliveries are by courier service and should arrive within 3 – 5 working days.  Leave safe and delivery to a neighbour have been disabled on our DPD account due to security reasons.
• DPD will deliver but will not ask for a signature, they usually take a photo of the parcel in the open doorway of the delivery address.  If you are not at home you can chose what happens to your parcel via the "in flight" options via the DPD app or tracking page.

RETURNS & REFUND INFORMATION

• You can return any product up to 14 days following receipt of the item. (please note that the return must be returned to us within 14 days from delivery).
• The product must be unused, in its original packaging and in a saleable condition.
• You will be responsible for the shipping cost of returning the product.
• We will only refund the shipping cost, should we have picked the wrong product in error, or it is proven to be faulty.
• Before returning an item, please contact us by email orders@brace-yourself.co.uk or by phone 0800 3688964.  We will give you a returns number, together with details on how and where to return your item.  Please note, we cannot process a return without an authorised returns number.
• Returns will be processed and refunded within 15 working days from receipt of the item into our returns department and on the basis that it complies fully with our terms and conditions.
• Refunds will be paid to your purchasing card.
• If you are looking to exchange an item based on a sizing issue, please make the customer service team aware when you contact them for a returns number.
• When returning a product, please be aware that this is at your risk until received by us.  We therefore strongly recommend you return the item using a tracked service with insurance cover, in case of damage or loss.
• We reserve the right to refuse a returned item if we deem it to be in an unsuitable condition. 
• Hygiene notice:
  For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of pillows that have been opened or used, unless they are faulty.
