DESCRIPTION

The LordoLoc lumbar orthosis gently relieves the lumbar spine, and helps to reduce pain in that area. The built-in stays in the back and the abdominal compression gently straighten the body and stabilize the lumbosacral transition. Its elastic material also provides plenty of freedom of movement. Two elastic tensioning straps on the sides introduce adjustable force to regulate compression strength around the torso. This allows the degree of stabilization to be adjusted. A therapeutic intermittent compression is released during movement which the LordoLoc uses to massage the surrounding soft tissue. This enhances circulation, relieves tension and stimulates the stabilizing abdominal and back muscles. The increased feedback processes positively influence the overall sensorimotor system, e.g. muscle control. In the long term, this helps prevent relief postures and incorrect movements. LordoLoc’s elastic material is comfortably airy and adapts perfectly to the body. The lightweight orthosis offers a secure and comfortable fit and is unobtrusive under clothing.

LIGHT SUPPORT FOR THE LUMBAR REGION

LordoLoc is characterized by its extremely thin yet effective construction. The supple support consists of two adjustable straps and four 91/4" corset stays made of flexible lightweight aluminum inserted at the back. The rods support the spine if an activation of the musculature alone is not sufficient. The tighter the upper strap is fastened, the greater the stabilization. The corset stays can be individually reshaped for a perfect fit. The stays provide extra support if muscular activation is not enough.

SOFT AND EFFECTIVE

Easy to fit, comfortable to wear: The support is opened and closed using Velcro® Brand Fastening System with practical hand straps. The degree of compression exerted by the elastic tensioning straps depends upon their adjustment. The soft, thin and lightweight material sits comfortably and snugly against the body, without being particularly noticeable under the clothing. LordoLoc thus relieves the lower back perceptibly yet discretely.

PRODUCT CARE

Washing regularly helps our supports maintain their shape and last longer. All Bauerfeind supports are made with machine washable materials.

HERE’S HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BRACE:

For products with Velcro® straps, pads or inserts, remove them if possible, or fasten them securely at the place provided on the brace. Machine wash your brace in cold water using the gentle or delicate cycle. Wash separately using a laundry detergent with no additives (do not use fabric softener or Woolite). Lay your support flat and let it air-dry; do not put it in the dryer.

Proper washing and drying helps your knit support maintain its elasticity and original fit.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

• Orders of £30 or more qualify for free delivery. For orders under £30, a £3.95 delivery charge will apply.
• We only accept orders with a UK delivery address.
• The product price you see on our website includes VAT.
• All deliveries are by courier service and should arrive within 3 – 5 working days.  Leave safe and delivery to a neighbour have been disabled on our DPD account due to security reasons.
• DPD will deliver but will not ask for a signature, they usually take a photo of the parcel in the open doorway of the delivery address.  If you are not at home you can chose what happens to your parcel via the "in flight" options via the DPD app or tracking page.

RETURNS & REFUND INFORMATION

• You can return any product up to 14 days following receipt of the item. (please note that the return must be returned to us within 14 days from delivery).
• The product must be unused, in its original packaging and in a saleable condition.
• You will be responsible for the shipping cost of returning the product.
• We will only refund the shipping cost, should we have picked the wrong product in error, or it is proven to be faulty.
• Before returning an item, please contact us by email orders@brace-yourself.co.uk or by phone 0800 3688964.  We will give you a returns number, together with details on how and where to return your item.  Please note, we cannot process a return without an authorised returns number.
• Returns will be processed and refunded within 15 working days from receipt of the item into our returns department and on the basis that it complies fully with our terms and conditions.
• Refunds will be paid to your purchasing card.
• If you are looking to exchange an item based on a sizing issue, please make the customer service team aware when you contact them for a returns number.
• When returning a product, please be aware that this is at your risk until received by us.  We therefore strongly recommend you return the item using a tracked service with insurance cover, in case of damage or loss.
• We reserve the right to refuse a returned item if we deem it to be in an unsuitable condition. 
• Hygiene notice:
  For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of pillows that have been opened or used, unless they are faulty.
